Chris Stout, Co-Founder/Principal

Chris Stout is a wealth strategist who has a unique understanding of the sports and entertainment industry after spending fifteen years in sports broadcasting, covering the best athletes and events in the world. In March of 2008, inspired by the many athletes he once covered and the lack of help they had available to them, Stout began a new journey, to help others reach their life and wealth goals. Evergreen Consulting Inc., Sports & Entertainment Division offers the life and wealth management team that can help to create and sustain financial success for a lifetime. Evergreen Consulting, Inc. is a member firm of M Financial Group and is a locally owned/operated comprehensive financial services and wealth management organization affiliated with M Financial Group.

Stout truly understands the pressure many celebrities are under to perform at their highest level. Evergreen Sports & Entertainment is not about today’s performance, but rather a lifetime of performance. He tells his clients “When the lights go out, we hold the beacon to a life that is marked by enduring significance.”

Stout attended Indiana University and graduated with a B.A. in Communications. He began his career in television in Greenville, MS, where he met his wife and fellow anchor/reporter, Stacy Case. At 26 years old, Stout became the sports anchor on the NBC affiliate WTHR in Indianapolis, IN, considered one of the best local stations in the country, where he covered a multitude of Championships including the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He then became the Sports Director at WNCN, an NBC owned and operated station in Raleigh, NC. There, Stout covered multiple Final 4’s, the Carolina Panthers run to the Super Bowl, hosted a NASCAR show and the Carolina Hurricanes on their journey to win the Stanley Cup (05-06) in addition to another trip to cover the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. In 2006, Stout became the sports director at the ABC affiliate WKRN in Nashville, TN, hosting the weekly Jeff Fisher Coach’s Show and serving as the play-by-play announcer for the Tennessee Titans pre-season games. His fifteen years in sports broadcasting gave him unprecedented access to some of the most prolific stories and people in sports, covering the biggest sporting events in the world.

Stout realized that many celebrities, regardless of their industry, had not surrounded themselves with advisors that they could unequivocally trust. They didn’t have someone on their “personal team” that they listened to and knew that they were going to do what’s in their best interest. They needed a “coach” in the financial world. They needed to put the same trust that they do in their position coach, who helps them understand each play their making on the field, in their financial coach. He wanted to help them understand and plan for their financial life goals that maybe they hadn’t thought about during the pinnacle of their career. So it’s no surprise that he combined his passion for sports with his desire to help the many athletes he met along his illustrious broadcasting career.

After receiving his Series 7 Securities License in March of 2008, Chris became a Financial Advisor with Securian Financial Services, Inc., where he was named “New Advisor of The Year” despite starting his practice in the worst economic environment since the Great Depression.

Chris Stout holds a Series 7, Series 66, as well as Life and Health insurance licenses. “What I learned in the first eight months of financial consulting during such this crisis was truly more valuable than any class or degree I could have obtained,” says Stout. “My clients came to me with such concern about their financial future and it was a blessing to help them understand what was happening in the market and that we had a plan and strategy already in place. We were able to react to what was happening in a positive way in those tough times. I knew I had made the right career decision.”

Chris and his wife Stacy have two children and live in Brentwood, TN.
